On Day 2, we decided to journey to Rochester to the Strong National Museum of Play. It was AWESOME!!! Definitely a "must visit" if you ever find yourself in central NY with kiddos! :)
In the lobby, they have a giant aquarium. Abby is saying "Up!" in this picture, because she wanted out of her stroller so she could inspect the fish!
Drew was very excited for the children's museum!
Drew, racing his car. There were many, many hands-on exhibits for kids, and Drew did every one of them & had a blast!
The museum also has a large Sesame Street area, much to Elmo-addicted Abby's delight! A family picture of the infamous stoop.
They had an area where you could pick your muppet, and then you would both appear on the screen together. I thought this was so sweet -- Abby & Elmo, gazing lovingly at each other. :)
Uncle Troy was excited to sit in Big Bird's nest. Abby, not so much!
They had a taxi that kiddos could "drive", with Elmo (all buckled into his carseat) and Cookie in the backseat. Abby enjoyed driving, and then was super thrilled when she looked in the back!!
Drew's favorite part -- a train ride!!! He was excited to be the engineer!
Mama & Drew, piloting the plane.
Your friendly mail carrier.
They even had a grocery store, complete with carts & food items. The kids could each collect 5 items, then head to the check-out lanes where they used the cash register to ring up their purchases. Drew loved it!
Abby, playing Legos with Gramps.
Upstairs in the museum, they have the National Toy Hall of Fame. Drew enjoyed looking at all the old toys, but it was Abby's nap time and she just wanted to cuddle with Grammy!.jpg)
